(Windows 98gold and Windows 98SE) =========================================================== a. Change the directory to [DVCAM], and choose the appropriate directory, which depends on your Windows version. b. Run the SETUP.EXE. c. It will update the 1394 driver automatically. d. After it complete the process, click the following: {Start} -> {Settings} -> {Control Panel} -> {System} -> {Device Manager}, in the device listing window, you can find: (a). Windows 98 Gold version: 1394 Bus Controller -> PCI OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller. (b). Windows 98 SE: 1394 Bus Controller -> Texas Instrument OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller. (c). It means that you have set up the 1394 driver successfully. ================================= 8. How to install VideoWave III? ================================= a. Change the directory to [VIDEOWAVE III], then run the SETUP.EXE. b. Complete the dialog box for installation. ====================================================== 9. How to make sure the camcorder is connected to PC? ====================================================== a. After completing the DVCAM and VIDEOWAVE III installation procedures, you have to reboot your PC. b. Connect your camcorder to PC, and power it on. c. Click the following: {Start} -> {Settings} -> {Control Panel} -> {System} -> {Device Manager} -> {Sound, Video and Game Controllers}, it will show an item "1394 DV Camcorder". d. It means that camcorder is connected to PC successfully.
